Empowering young people to look after their own, and others, Mental Health

We have long known that the majority of mental health issues begin in childhood & early adolescence. We also know that children & young people talk about these things to each other but don't always feel they have the appropriate information or confidence to do so.

The Well-being Champion is someone who can approach, listen and signpost. Who understands confidentiality and that their role is to be a helpful listener. Not a ‘Counselor’ or ‘Problem Solver’ but something even more powerful. Someone who says ‘I see you and I care’ and then helps the person to help themselves.
